<p><a href="https://www.hcc-embedded.com/" style="color:navy; text-decoration:none" target="_blank"><span style="color:#e67e22">HCC Embedded</span></a>, developers of embedded “out of context” software components, introduced its HCC SafeTCPIP network stack for automotive systems. SafeTCPIP is the first Element of the company’s SEooC (Safety Elements out of Context) approach to creating reusable software components that can be integrated into embedded systems. SafeTCPIP stack is a commercial TCP/IPv4 network stack, which was developed to the ISO 26262 Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) B standard. The stack components include a myriad of modules built to the standard, including IPv4, TCP, UDP, Socket, ARP, Ethernet Interface, ICMP, and more.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.ldra.com/" style="color:navy; text-decoration:none" target="_blank"><span style="color:#e67e22">LDRA (Liverpool Data Research Associates)</span></a> announced its support for the MISRA C:2012 (3<sup>rd</sup> Edition/1<sup>st</sup> Revision) software development guidelines for the C/C++ programming languages. The announcement also reveals that MISRA and AUTOSAR will integrate their best-practice industry guidelines for C++ into a single publication.</p>
<p>The new integrated MISRA/AUTOSAR C++ rule-set is expected to undergo development over the coming months to initially apply to language versions up to ISO/IEC 14882 C++17. The language will be updated on an ongoing basis over a three-year release cycle. The evolution of the language will bring MISRA conventions and terminology in the language subsets for AUTOSAR’s Adaptive and Classic platforms for the automotive industry.</p>

<p><a href="https://sourceesb.com/allamericansemiconductor/linecard" style="color:navy; text-decoration:none" target="_blank"><span style="color:#e67e22">OmniVision</span></a>, a leading producer of CMOS processing and packaging technology, unveiled a new 0.8-µm form factor, 32-Mpixel image sensor capable of outputting high-resolution images and video. The company’s OV32A sensor is designed for use in next-gen high-end smartphones, bringing advanced features via the company’s <span style="color:navy"><a href="https://www.ovt.com/purecel-pixel-tech/purecel-plus" style="color:navy; text-decoration:none">PureCel Plus</a></span> technology, including <span style="background-color:white"><span style="color:#373737">on-chip re-mosaic and near-pixel binning, among others.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="background-color:white"><span style="color:#373737">The OV32A is capable of producing high-resolution images and video in a range of formats, including 32 Mpixels (at 15 fps), 8 Mpixels with 4-cell binning (at 60 fps), 2K/4K video (at 60 fps), 1080p video (at 120 fps), and 720p video (at 240 fps). The sensor was created with pad locations on the top and bottom, reducing the module size in the in the x-direction, making them ideal for use as front-facing cameras for thin-form-factor smartphones with infinity displays. OmniVision expects to release samples of the OV32A image sensor to mobile device manufacturers in March of this year. </span></span></p>

<p><a href="https://percepio.com/" style="color:navy; text-decoration:none" target="_blank"><span style="color:#e67e22">Percepio</span></a> brings Tracealyzer 4 to Express Logic’s ThreadX RTOS. New features include a modern user interface with an added window manager that handles both docked and tabbed windows. Multiple traces can be managed in separate windows, and favorites can be saved and utilized between runs.</p>
<p>Tracealyzer 4 also offers live visualization while recording, with the ability to pause and zoom in to inspect different details. In addition, the platform offers support for tracing IoT devices, along with awareness of network and I/O events. User-defined analysis parameters are included, as is unlimited tracing for long application test runs, plus more. Tracealyzer 4 is available for download and evaluation direct from <span style="color:navy"><a href="https://percepio.com/downloadform/" style="color:navy; text-decoration:none">Percepio</a></span>.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.renesas.com/us/en/" style="color:navy; text-decoration:none" target="_blank"><span style="color:#e67e22">Renesas Electronics Corp.</span></a> released its second-generation RZ/G2 Arm-based MCUs for industrial and building automation applications. The four variants come with 64-bit Arm Cortex-A57s and Arm Cortex-A53s, with either two, six, or eight cores, plus improved on-chip 3D graphics functions.</p>
<p>Among the key features of the new RZ/G2 line is 27% more performance over comparable 64-bit MCUs, support for high-speed protocols for external memories (including LPDDR4/DDR3L), and fast communication support for SATA, USB 3.0, PCIe, and QSPI/eMMC Gigabit interfaces. High reliability and security have also been upgraded with ECC functionality across the board. Furthermore, Renesas will offer support for 10 years, and include complete VLP and verification test software to keep applications up and running.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.wolfssl.com/" style="color:navy; text-decoration:none" target="_blank"><span style="color:#e67e22">wolfSSL</span></a>, a provider of TLS cryptography, and <a href="https://hex-five.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color:#e67e22">Hex-Five Security</span></a>, developer of <span style="color:navy"><a href="https://hex-five.com/" style="color:navy; text-decoration:none">MultiZone Security</a></span>, have partnered to bring what’s claimed as an industry-first secure IoT stack for RISC-V. The move brings a TLS 1.3 reference application of FreeRTOS with hardware-enforced separation between OS, TCP/IP, and Roots of Trust (RoT). Hex-Five Security’s MultiZone Security compartmentalizes the monolithic firmware into an unlimited amount of physically isolated zones, which prevents attacks to the system from propagating to the rest of the platform and compromising the security layers.</p>
<p>wolfSSL’s TLS 1.3 library offers more robust security and increased speed, featuring wolfCrypt encryption, which supports FIPS 140-2 encryption that’s certified by the government and meets NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) standards. <span style="background-color:white">The stunnel TLS proxy is also supported, which allows already existing servers and clients to establish two-year connections without needing to change source-code programming. It’s useful for securing email exchange, remote shell, and web-hosting connections.
